Basketball season
Well, I have slowly been getting back into playing basketball. I had a nasty ankle sprain back in April (torn ligament) and I have waited to let it heal as much as possible. It seems to be holding up really well, so I have been testing it. I also thought that I should invest in a new pair of shoes. The ones that I have been playing in and the ones that I was wearing when the injury occurred, were...
Bowling League
My employer is starting a bowling league and I decided to join a team along with my wife. It hopefully gives us something to look forward to during the week. We don’t get to go out too often, so this will be a fresh breath of air. We are not the best bowlers, but we do know how to play. Throw the ball toward the white pins. It isn’t difficult. Now we just need to go out and buy some...

Family - Long Time No See
Well I had the opportunity to meet an aunt of mine that I have not met in probably about 20 years. She lives in Florida and has come down to San Antonio to be a part of my grandparents’ 50th anniversary party. It was really good to catch up with her. Also, I had another aunt come down also from Florida, but I have not seen her in about 2 years. It is a lot to be able to catch up with someone...
Colorblindness
Well the weirdest thing happened to me today. I found out that I am colorblind. My parents were telling me that my twin brother found out he was colorblind when he took a test in the Air Force. I have been messing around with some online tests and I have confirmed that I am colorblind. It is weird because I never knew that I was colorblind all my life. I am only 26 years old, but it is still kind...
Anniversaries
As I have just been married to my beautiful wife, Jennifer, my grandparents are celebrating thier 50th anniversary. It is really quite wonderful really as many things can happen to a couple within 50 years to prevent this golden occasion. They have surely been through a lot in that time and yet here they are still going strong. They have always been there for us grandchildren and we are very...

Getting used to wearing a ring
I recently got married and I really never wore rings or any other type of jewerly. My biggest gripe about rings was that they usually left my fingers irritated. When we were shopping for our rings, I really didn’t care too much about the style as I did on the smoothness of the ring on the inside. I went with a “comfort” band and after about a week and a half of wearing it, I...
Shedding Some Skin
Not to be gross or anything, but I have started to shed some skin from my sunburns. This includes my scalp and shoulders. A word of wisdom, if you have pretty short hair, then don’t forget to apply some sunscreen to your head or plan to wear a hat or something when going out to the beach. It is a very painful and annoying consequence if you don’t.
